Näin brunssien suurena ystävänä yhtenä missionani on ollut kiertää kesän ja syksyn kuluessa Helsingin uusia brunssipaikkoja läpi. Viime sunnuntaina oli vuorossa Kämpin sunnuntaibrunssi. Kävin siellä ystäväni kanssa ja kummallekin meistä se oli ensimmäinen kerta.
Vertaan Kämpin brunssia auttamattomasti Palacen brunssiin ja mielestäni Kämpin brunssi oli tarjonnaltaan laajempi ja enemmän mieleeni. Perinteisten salaattien ja croissanttien lisäksi tarjolla oli muun muassa ihan todella hyviä pancakeja. Tässä kohtaa pitää kumminkin korostaa, että Palacen näkymiä ei kyllä Kämp voita. Yksi viime kesän kohokohdista koettiin myös Palacen terassilla, jolloin juhlin rakkaan ystäväni kolmekymppisiä.
Jutustelimme ystäväni kanssa niin intensiivisesti, että unohdin ottaa kuvia ruoasta ja sen takia kuvia on vain tilasta. Intensiivisen juttutuokion takia emme edes huomioineet ajan kulua. Toinen kattaus oli alkamassa juuri ennen kuin tarjoilija tuli ystävällisesti huomauttamaan meille että nyt olisi aika poistua.. Elikkäs, brunssipaikka sopii täydellisesti kiireettömien aamujen jatkoksi. Huomiothan että pöytävaraus kannattaa tehdä, sillä ainakin viime sunnuntaina ihmisiä oli jonoksi asti. Ainoana miinuksena sanoisin sen , että kaksi tuntia oli mielestäni ehkä hivenen lyhyt aika. Tai suurin osa viime sunnuntain ajasta meni enemmänkin seurusteluun ja kuulumisten vaihtoon kuin syömiseen ;).
P.S. Tiedän että kuvat menevät tällä hetkellä vähän miten sattuvat, mutta sivulla tehdään pian muutoksia, niin samalla korjataan kuvien asettelu.

You know how much I enjoy about those moments when I can eat well and have looooong conversations. One of my missions on this summer has been to explore new brunch and breakfast places in Helsinki. Last Sunday I met my friend and we went to have brunch at Hotel Kämp.
I compared the brunch automatically to the brunch I ate at Palace during the summer. I think that the menu was a bit broader at Kämp than at Palace. Brunch included traditional salads and croissants; nevertheless my favorites were the tasty and moist American pancakes. Anyhow, the view you are able to experience in Palace is something to worth seeing.
We chatted so intensively that I forgot to take pictures from the menu. The time passed so fast that the waitress came kindly to ask us to leave because the second seating was about to begin. The brunch was excellent, however, I felt that two hours is a bit too short time to eat and socialize, and that is what brunch is all about.

In my time in Finland, I haven’t actually been to Kämp or Palace (what a shame!) but I heard that both are beautiful and I hope that next summer I can at least have brunch at one place :D
I would love a night at Kämp also, but then, the prices are as beautiful as the place itself so maybe not.
Nothing is nicer than a lazy Sunday morning, meeting up with friends (or going for a romantic stuff-your-face with your other half) and having long conversations over steaming coffee mugs, enjoying delicious foods. Which reminds me, we haven’t done that for quite a while, so I need to get them together :)
By the way, have more ads been added to Indieday sites? Usually, besides the posts there was the information about the author, now that has been moved down and more ads spring up on you right besides the top of the post. I was kinda flashed ;)

I know, I just came home and I spent the whole day with my friends. We had beautiful sunny day in the forest and we picked so much mushrooms! We made tasty dinner and enjoyed the day in the cottage. Such a lovely Sunday!
Now that you say I think I know what you mean. The layout has changed a bit, but there has always been ads in the right up of the page :)

Oliko Kämpissä sama käytäntö kuin palacessa eli pääruokaa ei tarjoiltu pöytiin? Minusta Palacen pääruuat olivat pikkunen pettymys. Varasin juuri pöydän Kämpin brunssille, ja toiv. siellä on pääruoka tarjoiltuna :)
